ABSOLUTE SECLUSION
The Tailor, Australia

Emma from The Tailor tells me “exclusive access and absolute seclusion” is still at the top of her clients’ priority list. With that in mind, the Great Barrier Reef has a new next-level property to speak of: check out Pelorus Private Island, a “completely remote island habitat” with a 5-bedroom residence. Quite the escape!

NEXT-LEVEL LODGES
Ahipara, New Zealand

Ahipara’s Jean-Michel was with me in London recently and mentioned the new suites and owners’ residence at Flockhill Luxury Lodge. He says brand-new Okoro Villa in Nelson is worth a look, too. Their first-ever clients here were from Ahipara.

I SPY TIGERS
Banyan, India

Lucy at Banyan Tours says to look to Central India for your client’s wildlife safaris, given positive news of increasingly strong tiger numbers. Generally, there’s an overall improved safari experience – especially now with the option of taking a full-day safari permit. Finally, Oberoi is opening a property in Bandhavgarh this winter along with another near Khajuraho.

A FINE WEEKENDER
ITEM, Türkiye

In Turkey, the team at ITEM are excited about the newly refurbished CAELI Hotel in Gallipoli. Billed as the ‘most modern winery in Turkey’, wine lovers will love it for a long weekend getaway. Wandering the vineyards, long bike ride and, of course, wine tastings.

CITY STYLE
Galavanta, Colombia

Speaking of islands, Cristina at Galavanta suggests a closer look at Cala Mambo. This new private-island property (in the Rosario archipelago) has seven bedrooms with sea views in every direction. Guests have 400m of sandy outdoor space to enjoy and it’s just 50 minutes by speedboat to Cartagena’s Old Town.

CONDORS IN THE COLCA VALLEY
Enigma, Peru

Lots of new openings in Peru, says Enigma founder Silvia. The big one is Puqio, a glorious tented camp in the condor-spotting Colca Valley. Speaking of camps, ‘regenerative hospitality’ pioneers 700,000 Heures have set up shop in the Peruvian Amazon. Guests can book-end a Peru trip with a few nights at new bijou hotel Fausto.
